All courses are awarded a Summit Safety Training Services certificate at request and must be identified prior to training taking place.

Summit Safety takes the Safety, Health and Welfare of participants seriously, learners will be asked to declare any medical conditions and/or injuries. All courses come with a Safety Brief prior to any practical demonstrations and/or physical practice. Learners must be fit to train.

How is Children’s First Different to Safeguarding Vulnerable Person’s at risk of Abuse?

The course content focuses directly on the Child and Family Agency, Tusla, the history of Child Abuse Concerns in Ireland, the difference between a Child Welfare and a Child Protection Concer, and explores the contents Children’s First Act 2015.

It is important to have a good working knowledge of the CFA 2015, as it strengthens the measures in place for child welfare and protection concerns. It places legal obligations on organisations and certain professionals to safeguard children from harm.

Certain professionals cannot work with Children without this training. It is strongly recommended that if you work with children, you must complete this course.
